Stained Glass

A stained glass window of ‘the nativity of Christ,’ with the Holy Father looking down upon the faithful, dominates one wall of the Gothic church at Medak. The cathedral is over 60 meters high, and the room accommodates up to 5,000 people. Two other panels, depicting ‘the ascension’ and ‘the crucifixion of Christ,’ grace other walls. The sun’s rays pass through the translucent multicolored panels, casting a kaleidoscope of light upon the chamber. These magnificent devotional works in glass were created by a British artist between 1927-1939.
