VINTAGE VEGAS
The Neon Boneyard

At one time, Las Vegas was known worldwide for its proliferation of graphic neon signage. Today, many of the iconographic relics reside in the Neon Boneyard. In a rapidly changing city, interest is mounting in preserving elements of Las Vegas history. Some signs currently stored in the Boneyard will be restored to their former glory for public display.

Neon is rapidly being replaced by enormous state-of-the-art high-definition video screens which have the benefit of alternating advertisements that compete for attention.
