Cavalia performed under its White Big Top at the
Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino

?Cavalia, created by Normand Latourelle, one of the founding members of Cirque du Soleil, is a lavish orchestration of equestrian mastery, live music and visual and performing arts that features 35 artists and 50 magnificent horses, representing 10 different breeds.

The grand-scale extravaganza explores the relationship between humans and horses throughout history, while showcasing different disciplines. Acrobats, graceful aerialists, dancers, musicians and riders share the stage with man’s greatest conquest: the horse. Spectators are transported to dream-like virtual settings, created by a unique combination of enchanting sets, dramatic costumes, multimedia projections, colorful lighting and dazzling special effects.

The production takes place under a huge, specially designed “White Big Top” tent which is 110 feet high and seats 2,000. In the arena, the horses’ agility, power, instinct and grace are showcased in all their beauty and, at times, in total liberty.
