Ram-lila

Krishna, the god with the magical flute, charms gopis, or milkmaids, in a Ram-lila drama portrayed in ancient Assamese style. Personified as either a happy, spirited child or a handsome cowherd, Krishna is considered the most human of all the Hindu gods. Widely admired, he is especially adored by women. Among the gopis, Radha is his favorite. Krishna and Radha represent the ideal couple, and their romantic love is interpreted symbolically as the relationship of the human soul with the divine spirit.
