A
scarlet-turbaned Rajasthani tribesman leads his troop of camels
across the desert to the annual Pushkar Mela.

of Rajasthan gather dressed in their colorful finery to trade
camels and horses, visit the sacred temples on Pushkar Lake, and
have fun camel racing, singing, and exchanging tales late into
the night around the campfire.
