Karma
Ram Bhil proudly displays his world-record 2.165-meter-long (7’10”)
moustache. Formerly a dacoit, a notorious bandit,
Mr. Bhil served time in prison for murder. Years later, he developed
a reputation as a talented Rajasthani folk musician. Despite carrying
a razor-sharp kulhadi for protection, in 1989
he was ambushed by bandits and slain. His head--with famous moustache
intact--was taken across the desert and smuggled over the border
into Pakistan, as a trophy. Karma Ram Bhil’s facial hair
record is unbroken.
