Crews from the City of Henderson Fire Department raise a 100-foot aerial ladder to survey the progress of a controlled burn.
The house, which was condemned for structural reasons, was donated to the Fire Department for a variety of hands-on drills. Firefighter training conducted under carefully controlled conditions results in incomparable learning experiences. This training began with search and rescue drills, moved on to smaller interior fires and culminated with complete demolition by fire.
